I was called to the Ontario Bar and became a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada in 1988. I graduated from the University Of Windsor Law School in 1986, and graduated from York University in 1983 with a Combined Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Sociology.

I was a Seminar Instructor from 1999 to 2005 in Criminal Law, Procedure, Ethics and Professional Responsibility at the Law Society of Upper Canada Bar Admissions Course. I regularly mentor and advise junior criminal lawyers and newly called members of the Bar on Criminal Law, Trial Tactics and Strategies.

As a young lawyer in the late 1980's I attended a continuing legal education seminar at The Law Society of Upper Canada, titled, Trial Tactics and Strategies. The Chair of the program, a legendary criminal lawyer started his presentation with, "Every battle is Won or Lost before it is ever fought". He analogized that going to Trial was very much like going to War. Trial like War; should not be the first option. Resolution by negotiations should be considered, but if a Trial is necessary, he went on to explain, preparation, planning and positioning, among other factors, would make the difference between a successful or unsuccessful result at Trial. With complete Disclosure and thorough knowledge and analysis of the Law, nothing should be left to chance. He emphasized that complete preparation was the key, and that a well planned strategy mapping out the smallest details in your case was paramount to success. I have throughout my career, consistently used this ideology along with sound legal judgement as a guide in defending all of my cases. As an experienced Criminal Defence Lawyer I am absolutely committed to getting the best possible result for my clients. Many of my clients are professionals, business people or corporations. Most have never had their name published in a newspaper or mentioned on the news. All have reputations to uphold. I try very hard to keep it that way.

My skillful and strategic representation starts from the moment we meet to the completion of your case. My areas of practice are all Criminal Code Offences and Provincial Regulatory Offences, including: Environmental regulations, Workplace Safety Offences and Ontario Highway Traffic Act charges.

During my years in private practice I established and I continue to foster strong and professional working relationships with Crown Counsel, Police officers and other members of the Ontario Criminal Bar.

My office is based in Toronto and my practice takes me throughout the Province of Ontario.
